Does the Anio 6 need a SIM card?
Yes, a nano-SIM with at least 300 MB of data, calls, and texts. The easiest option is the Bling plan for €5 a month. You can also use your own SIM – which providers work can be found in the Help Center.
Need your own phone?
The Anio 6 works completely independently with its own SIM card. You’re the only one who needs the app—on your phone.
How long does the battery last?
24 to 48 hours, depending on how often it is located and how good the reception is. It is best to wear it during the day and charge it in the evening – then it will be ready to go again in the morning.
Is the Anio 6 allowed at school?
At most schools, yes. In school mode, it only shows the time; missed calls and messages only appear afterwards. A school pass is included with every watch, and if the school asks, our teacher letter will help.
Can my child use WhatsApp, TikTok or YouTube?
No. Your child can only chat via the Anio chat with the contacts you specify. There is deliberately no internet, apps, camera, or games.
How accurate is the location tracking?
Outdoors, the Anio 6 tracks location via GPS, and indoors via Wi-Fi—where location tracking is slightly less precise. For the school run, you can set times when it tracks location every minute.
Can I turn off tracking?
Yes, anytime in the app – your child cannot do this themselves. The SOS button still works. Location data is deleted after 14 days anyway.
What happens if the watch falls into the puddle?
Nothing serious – rain and splashes won't hurt them. But your child should take them off before showering, bathing, or swimming.
