The Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch is finally available, bringing with it many new features that clearly set it apart from its predecessor and other kids' smartwatches.
4G technology, a larger battery, a round design with a special watch face for learning the time, compact dimensions and a lightweight build, as well as numerous colorful customization options—all these make our new kids' smartwatch so special. True to the Anio name, the Anio 6 also does not include a camera, games, or distracting gimmicks, helping to introduce your child to the digital world gradually and safely without overwhelming them.
You can find all the details about the Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch and what sets it apart from the Anio 5 and other models here.
What's new with the Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch?
Round design for easy learning
Unlike the classic rectangular kids' smartwatch case, we chose a round design for the Anio 6. This round design has a major advantage: it is much better suited for learning the time.
With the new learning watch face and the accompanying e-book, you can now also easily teach your child how to tell the time on the Anio 6.
6 great watch faces with colorful designs
If reading the time from an analog watch face is ever too difficult, the Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch also features digital watch faces.
In total, the Anio 6 offers 3 analog and 3 digital watch faces in great color variations, most of which can also be enhanced with special features such as step counting.
4G technology for better connectivity and performance
Thanks to the newly integrated 4G technology, our new kids' smartwatch offers significantly better connectivity and faster data transmission, whether for messages, location data, or simply settings you make in the Anio app for your child's smartwatch.
However, the components for a 4G kids' smartwatch are larger than those for a 2G kids' smartwatch like the Anio 5. As a result, the Anio 6, measuring 22.55cm3, is also slightly larger than its predecessor.
Compared to other 4G kids' smartwatches on the market, such as the Xplora X6 Play, the Anio 6 is still at least 16% smaller and therefore perfectly sized for a child's wrist.
Larger battery for worry-free everyday use
Although Anio is very keen to keep the kids' smartwatch as small as possible, we listened to loyal Anio fans and made the Anio 6 battery larger than the one in the Anio 5.
Depending on the settings, the smartwatch now offers a battery life of 24–48 hours, which naturally depends on the frequency of location tracking, network coverage, and other factors.
Due to its larger dimensions, the Anio 6 is also slightly heavier than the Anio 5. However, with a total weight of 44g including the strap, the Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch is still at least 24% lighter than, for example, the Xplora X6.
The Anio 6 is colorful and customizable
So that you can customize the kids' smartwatch to match your child's favorite colors, the Anio 6 comes with four different colored protective cases. Combined with our 15 strap colors, this creates 60 great combination options.
When you purchase an Anio 6 from our online shop, you will also receive 30% off the corresponding accessories.
The 5 main features of the Anio 6 Smartwatch
In addition to all these great new features, the Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch naturally includes the popular Anio features for a safe and age-appropriate everyday experience.
Kids' watch for calling—phone function
The kids' watch with phone functionality works like a smartphone, and your child can call you on your phone using the watch. You can now save up to 20 contacts on the watch via the Anio app instead of just 10, and they can call these contacts from the watch. These contacts are saved in the Anio 6 "phonebook," and only these saved numbers can call the watch. IMPORTANT: Unknown callers will continue to be blocked for safety!
For older children, you can enable a dial pad in the Anio app so they can also call numbers outside the phonebook.
New with the Anio 6:
You can now save 20 contacts instead of just 10. If your child cannot yet read, that is not a problem either. Each of the 20 contacts can be assigned its own color in the phonebook. This way, your child will always know: calling Mom is blue, calling Dad is green.
You can find out more about the kids' watch for calling here.
Like WhatsApp, but child-safe—chat function
Unfortunately, WhatsApp does not offer special parental controls, which raises safety concerns. For example, your children could receive unwanted messages, such as chain letters, from unknown people or share too much personal information. WhatsApp risks for children include peer pressure, threatening chain letters, bullying, and inadequate data protection. In contrast, the Anio 6 kids' smartwatch provides age-appropriate chat options that allow you to communicate with your children worry-free. IMPORTANT: Only parents and other family members using the Anio app can chat with the Anio 6 via the app.
Here is how it works: Via the chat function in the Anio app, you can send your child text and voice messages. Your child can reply to these messages with voice messages and emojis via the smartwatch.
New with the Anio 6:
Your child can now view not only the last 4 messages in your conversation history, but the last 20 messages!

Kids' watch with GPS—location tracking
The Anio 6 smartwatch features a GPS tracker. You can track your children via the Anio app and view their location live on the map.
IMPORTANT: If needed, the kids' watch GPS tracking can also be turned off via the Anio app! The Anio smartwatch is one of the few watches where tracking can be disabled. Your child cannot deactivate the tracking themselves.
In addition to tracking on the map, you can also set school route times and geofences. This means your child will be tracked at higher intervals during important times, and you will be notified when your child arrives at school or football practice.
You can find out more about the location tracking function, school route times, and geofencing here.
Kids' watch with emergency call
In an emergency, your child can quickly and easily press the SOS button on the Anio 6 and will be immediately connected to you by phone—whether it is a major or minor emergency. The Anio 6 SOS button is a good alternative to an emergency bracelet for children.
Here is how it works: If your child presses the SOS button for 3 seconds, the watch calls three SOS phone numbers that were previously set up in the app, in a specific order. It will continue to call them one after another until one of the SOS contacts answers the call. Once the call is answered, your child can speak to the person using the watch's phone function.
You can find out more about how the kids' watch with emergency call works here.
Mobile phone bans at schools—no problem with the Anio 6 school mode
The question is asked more and more often: Are Anio smartwatches banned at schools? Our answer: There is no general ban on smartwatches at schools!
Mobile phones, on the other hand, are generally banned.
The Anio 6 features a school mode developed specifically for school. This school mode can be activated and controlled via the Anio app. To do this, you set specific days of the week and times during which the watch becomes a completely normal wristwatch. During these times, the Anio smartwatch only displays the "School Mode Display." The watch's touchscreen is now locked, and the display only shows the selected watch face with the time. All incoming calls and messages are blocked and silenced during this period. Your child will receive a notification on the display later about missed calls or messages.
The SOS function is not disabled by the school mode.
You can find all the details about smartwatches at school here.
Additional features of the Anio 6
In addition to the 5 main features—calling, chat, tracking, school mode, and the SOS function—the Anio 6 offers additional features that complement your child's everyday life in an age-appropriate and safe way.
Kids' watch with step counter
To encourage your child to stay active, the Anio 6 features a step counter function. Using the Anio app, you can easily set a daily step goal for your child. Your child can view their steps at any time on several watch faces or on the watch's own step counter page. When the step goal is reached, a small trophy appears.
You can find all the details about the Anio 6 step counter function here.
Smart kids' alarm clock for greater independence
With the Anio 6 smartwach alarm clock, you can help your child learn to independently remember appointments such as football practice, brushing their teeth, or simply drinking enough water.
You can find more information about the Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch alarm clock function here.
The right SIM card included
When you purchase an Anio 6 Kids Smartwatch, you will also receive the right SIM card from Anio free of charge.
You can find details about the corresponding SIM card on the Anio 6 product page.

Conclusion
The Anio 6 kids' smartwatch stands out from its predecessor, the Anio 5, with a whole range of improvements and new features. The Anio 6 features a stylish round design that is not only visually appealing but also ideal for learning to tell the time. Thanks to new 4G technology and a larger battery, the Anio 6 is the most powerful kids' smartwatch Anio has ever developed. Compared to the Anio 5, this does mean it has larger dimensions, but it was specially designed for comfort on children's wrists. Compared to other 4G smartwatches with this range of features, it is at least 21% lighter and smaller.
Another special feature of the Anio 6 is the wide range of personalization options. With six different colored watch faces and a special dial for learning to tell the time, the watch offers significantly more variety than its predecessor.
