Thank you for your interest in our website. Protecting your privacy is very important to us. Below, we provide detailed information on how we handle your data.
You can visit our websites without providing any personal information. Whenever a webpage is accessed, the web server automatically stores only a server log file containing, for example, the name of the requested file, your IP address, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred and the requesting provider (access data), and documenting the request. These access data are evaluated exclusively to ensure the smooth operation of the website and to improve our offering. This serves our legitimate interests in the correct presentation of our offering, which prevail in a balancing of interests, pursuant to Article 6(1), first sentence, point (f) GDPR. All access data are deleted no later than thirty days after the end of your visit to the website. All access data are processed only for as long as necessary to achieve the processing purposes stated above.
Some of the services for hosting and displaying the website are provided by our service providers as processors acting on our behalf. Unless otherwise explained in this privacy policy, all access data and all data collected in the forms provided on this website are processed on their servers. If you have questions about our service providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact details provided in this privacy policy.
Our service providers are located and/or use servers in the following countries for which the European Commission has determined an adequate level of data protection by decision: Canada, New Zealand, Japan, United Kingdom, USA.

There is no European Commission adequacy decision for these countries. Our cooperation with them is based on the following safeguards: the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
We use a Content Delivery Network (CDN) for some offerings to reduce loading times. Access data are therefore processed on the service providers’ servers. Our service providers act as processors on our behalf.
Our service providers are located and/or use servers in countries outside the EU and the EEA. There is no European Commission adequacy decision for these countries.
Our cooperation with them is based on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
If you have questions about our service providers and the basis of our cooperation with them, please use the contact details provided in this privacy policy.

Mandatory fields are marked as such because, in these cases, we require the data to perform the contract and cannot dispatch the order without them. The data collected can be seen in the respective input forms.
Further information about the processing of your data, in particular disclosure to our service providers for order, payment and shipping processing, can be found in the following sections of this privacy policy. After the contract has been fully performed, your data will be restricted from further processing and deleted after expiry of the retention periods required by tax and commercial law, pursuant to Article 6(1), first sentence, point (c) GDPR, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data pursuant to Article 6(1), first sentence, point (a) GDPR, or we reserve the right to use data beyond this as permitted by law and as explained in this policy.

Depending on the selected payment method, data may be transferred to third countries outside the EU/EEA for which the European Commission has determined an adequate level of data protection by decision. Where appropriate, we provide the aforementioned service providers with additional data, which they use together with the data required for payment processing to prevent fraud and optimise our payment processes (e.g. invoicing, handling disputed payments and assisting with accounting). Data are shared with Google under these data-sharing settings on the basis of an additional agreement between controllers. We have no influence over Google’s subsequent data processing.
To optimise the marketing of our website, we use the User-ID feature. This feature allows us to assign a unique, permanent ID to your interaction data from one or more sessions on our online presences, enabling us to analyse your usage behaviour across devices and sessions.
For web analytics, the Google Analytics extension Google Signals enables cross-device tracking. Our website markets advertising space to third parties through Google AdSense. These advertisements appear in various places on this website. If, in this case, you are logged into Google while visiting our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define audience lists for cross-device remarketing.
For website analysis and event tracking, we use Google Ads conversion tracking to measure your subsequent usage behaviour if you arrived at our website through a Google Ads advertisement. Cookies may be used for this purpose and data may be collected (IP address, time of visit, device and browser information and information about your use of our website based on events we specify, such as visiting a webpage or subscribing to the newsletter), from which usage profiles are created using pseudonyms.
If you do not give consent to the use of Google Ads pursuant to Article 6(1), first sentence, point (a) GDPR, no cookies are stored on or read from your device. The data processing described in the preceding paragraphs does not take place. To close gaps in web analytics through behavioural and conversion modelling, pings containing data (user agent, information about your consent choices, screen resolution, IP address, page URL and information about ad clicks in URL parameters) are sent to Google. Your IP address is used to derive the IP country.

The IP address is anonymised immediately after collection so that the stored data cannot be associated with you personally. The anonymised data are used in particular for statistical purposes and error analysis.
If you have given your consent, after completion of the order the Trustbadge accesses order information (order total, order number and, where applicable, the product purchased) and your email address stored on your device, and your email address is hashed using a cryptographic one-way function. The hash value is then transmitted to Trusted Shops together with the order information pursuant to Article 6(1), first sentence, point (a) GDPR.
This is used to check whether you are already registered for Trusted Shops services. If you are, further processing takes place in accordance with the contractual agreement between you and Trusted Shops. For Germany, you can find this here; for Austria, here; and for Switzerland, here. If you are not yet registered for the services or do not give consent to automatic recognition through the Trustbadge, you will subsequently have the option of registering manually to use the services or of arranging protection under any existing user agreement.
For this purpose, after you have completed your order, the Trustbadge accesses the following information stored on the device you use: order total, order number and email address. This is necessary for us to offer you buyer protection. Data are transferred to Trusted Shops only when you actively choose to take out buyer protection by clicking the correspondingly labelled button in the Trustcard. If you decide to use the services, further processing is governed by the contractual agreement with Trusted Shops pursuant to Article 6(1), point (b) GDPR, in order to complete your registration for buyer protection, protect the order and, where applicable, subsequently send you review invitations by email.
Trusted Shops uses service providers for hosting, monitoring and logging. The legal basis is Article 6(1), point (f) GDPR for the purpose of ensuring smooth operation. Processing may take place in third countries (USA, United Kingdom and Israel). An adequate level of data protection is ensured in each case by an adequacy decision of the European Commission, which for the USA can be accessed here, for the United Kingdom here and for Israel here. Service providers used in the USA are generally certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF). Further information is available here. Where the service providers used are not certified under the DPF, standard contractual clauses have been concluded as an appropriate safeguard.
Our website uses social buttons from social networks. These are embedded in the page only as HTML links, so no connection to the respective provider’s servers is established when you access our website. If you click one of the buttons, the website of the respective social network opens in a new browser window, where you can, for example, use the Like or Share button.
If you have given your consent to the respective social media operator pursuant to Article 6(1), first sentence, point (a) GDPR, when you visit our online presences on the social media platforms named above, your data are automatically collected and stored for market research and advertising purposes, and usage profiles are created from these data using pseudonyms. These may be used, for example, to display advertisements inside and outside the platforms that are presumed to match your interests. Cookies are generally used for this purpose. For detailed information about how the respective social media operator processes and uses data, as well as contact details, your related rights and settings for protecting your privacy, please refer to the providers’ privacy information linked below.
