To connect the Anio watch to the Anio Watch App, you must first insert an activated SIM card with a data plan into the watch. You can then save up to 10 phone numbers in the kids' watch phonebook.
Can the watch with phone functionality call any number and be called by anyone?
No, not quite! As mentioned earlier, only the 10 pre-saved numbers can call the Anio 6 watch and be called by it. Unknown numbers are blocked for safety.
As soon as you feel your child is safe and can use the kids' watch phone responsibly, the watch's dial pad can also be activated via the Anio App if needed. Intended mainly for older children, this allows any number to be dialed and called. Unknown callers will still be blocked!
How can my child use the Anio 6 at school?
Just like a normal watch! The Anio 6 watch with phone functionality for children features a so-called school mode. During class hours, the Anio 6 becomes a regular watch and only displays the time on the screen during these times.
You can set the school hours via the Anio Watch App and vary them depending on the day of the week. The Anio 6 automatically switches to quiet mode at the start of school hours and can no longer be used as a smartwatch from that point on. Missed calls and notifications during this time are marked with a red exclamation mark on the display and will only appear after the quiet period. This allows your child to call back the missed caller after school or read missed chat messages. Since the Anio 6 watch with phone functionality for children also has no camera or distracting games, the Anio 6 is allowed in schools, unlike other smartwatches.
How can my child reach me in case of emergency?
For this purpose, there is a specially developed SOS button located on the side of the Anio 6. When held down for a longer period, the watch calls 3 pre-defined numbers in sequence until someone answers. The watch also sends its last GPS location to these 3 numbers via an SMS notification.
